Synopsis

STOP THE PARADE is set in a small Texas town circa 1905. The Sheriff's wife, Royann along with a close knit group of suffragettes want more out of life than current society allows. They intend to express their demands to vote by participating in a suffrage parade. Through a comedy of errors, a con-woman, two would-be detectives, a transgender saloon singer and her benefactor, a nice guy and a greedy business man find themselves unwilling deputies pledged to help the Sheriff stop the parade as Ben, a gay bandit challenges the sheriff to a gunfight to assuage his bruised ego. STOP THE PARADE addresses the continuing efforts of all people struggling to be treated with equality, dignity and respect.
